The KNP Mobile Presets Tutorial

This will show you exactly how to access your KNP Mobile Presets, import the presets and edit with the presets. Make sure you have the free Lightroom App on your phone and you should be set. There are also screenshots of what everything should look like so if you get confused just reference the screenshots we have for you as well. Step 1: Access The KNP Mobile Preset Download link in your confirmation email

Step 2: Save The KNP Mobile Presets to your phone or iPad

The KNP Mobile Presets are in a .zip file so you’ll need to unzip it. You can do this a few different ways. First, you want to open the email we sent you and click the download link in the email. Next, click the button to download The KNP Mobile Preset. Below you’ll find instructions for saving The KNP Mobile Presets to your ipad, iphone, and android device… ALSO we refer to “The KNP Core Preset” and “The KNP Black+White Preset” as “The KNP Mobile Presets” in this tutorial

SAVE THE KNP MOBILE PRESETS TO YOUR IPAD

  • The file will begin downloading and will be store in your “downloads”
  • You can locate your downloads at the top of your screen. It will look like a downward arrow.
  • Tap the downward arrow and your downloads will display.
  • Locate The KNP Mobile Preset file (it will have .zip at the end) and tap on it
  • Your iPad will automatically unzip the file
  • Now click The KNP Mobile Preset file
  • A new window will open. Tap the up arrow and click “save image”
  • Move to step 3

SAVE THE KNP MOBILE PRESETS TO YOUR PHONE

On an iPhone

  • Once you click on the download link in the email receipt, it will open up a new screen and ask you “Do you want to download….?”
  • Click DOWNLOAD
  • It will begin to download and you will see a downward blue arrow in the upper right hand corner
  • Click on the downward arrow and then on “KatieNorridCorePreset” or “KatieNorridBlackWhitePreset”
  • It will open up in your downloads folder, click on the ZIP to unzip files
  • You will then click on the KatieNorridCorePreset file that is NOT a zip
  • Next will pop up a new screen that states “KatieNorridCorePreset”, camera raw image
  • You will then click on the upward arrow in the bottom left-hand corner, and then select Save Image

On an Android

Here is this google tutorial on unzipping files. The process seems very similar to what you do on an iPhone, but unfortunately we do not have an android device to get more in depth on this. If you have any issues please email our support team support@katienorrid.com

Now that we have that done, let’s head on over to your FREE Lightroom App If you do not have Lightroom downloaded on your phone be sure to do that now. It is named Adobe Lightroom Photo Editor

Step 3: Import The KNP mobile presets

  1. Open the free Lightroom App
  2. Click the import button on the bottom right part of the screen (blue photo with a +)
  3. Click “ From Camera Roll”
  4. Select The KNP Mobile Preset you downloaded (It will be a black square with DNG in the top right hand corner)
  5. Click Add
  6. Now you will see the image in Lightroom

And there it is… it is now in Lightroom!

This is the same process you will use anytime you want to add photos to Lightroom in the future.

Now we need to save The KNP Mobile Preset in Lightroom and start editing!

Step 4: Save The KNP Mobile Presets to Lightroom

  1. Open “The KNP Mobile Preset Image”
  2. Click the 3 little dots at the top right: “…”
  3. Click Create Preset
  4. Name the preset “KNP Core Preset” or “KNP Black+White Preset” depending on what you are importing
  5. For Preset Group, select “User Presets”
  6. Check all the boxes
  7. Tap the checkmark

Your preset is now saved in Lightroom! You will be able to access it from new devices as long as it is saved to your account.

Step 5: Edit with The KNP Mobile Presets

  1. Import and open a photo in Lightroom (Remember The KNP Mobile Preset works best with natural light images. It can be used on ANY photo, but BEST results are with natural light images. We love using portrait mode photos)
  2. Scroll over and click “presets”
  3. Tap “KNP Core Preset” or “KNP Black+White Preset”
  4. These presets were made it be as close to ONE-CLICK as possible, but even if you want to tweak more you have an awesome foundation for a great image or you can use the premade variations as well.
  5. Export to camera roll by selecting the upward arrow in the top right hand corner and then “Export to Camera Roll” or your can “Share to…” message, email etc.
  6. Repeat the steps to save all the KNP Core Preset variations.
