So I blogged a family session… What? This is something I really wish I did more of because they are a HUGE part of my SMALL business and I love me some fun family sessions. A few things about my family sessions, we get a few “traditional” smile photos out of the way and then we are done with that and we run and play and hug and laugh and play and run and sweat! If you are looking for a lot of everyone looking at the camera and smiling, I am not your girl. I worked with over 60 families in 2017 for family sessions and we are right on track for the same in 2018. My fall schedule is already jam packed but I will be taking a few more families for this fall with booking starting in July. I truly hate turning people away so make sure to get on the books asap. It is crazy to be thinking about Christmas photos in June, but its not!

I hope you guys enjoy a little snippet of what a family session with Katie Norrid Photography looks like and I hope to be showing you many more!

I never promised to be the BEST at blogging (quickly), but I am trying to get to all my weddings and throw in a few extra sessions for you as well.

It has almost been a year since these amazing people said “I Do.” During their engagement and over this past year I have grow to love them even more.  Courtney and Tyler are that once in a lifetime couple! Courtney is the most fun, happy, beautiful, kind, energetic gal I’ve ever met! She was so gracious and thankful to everyone on her wedding day and you could just tell how much everyone LOVES her! Tyler is the same way and they way he adores Courtney is something special!

I was pregnant at this wedding, but didn’t know it yet and when Courtney found out she was one of the first to text me with Congrats.  I knew Courtney and Tyler were going to be great parents one day from the way they loved their little people in the wedding and when I saw Courtney and Tyler at Rachel(super awesome bridesmaid turned bride) and Logan’s wedding that summer Courtney told me a little secret!!! To say I was excited is an understatement! We will be celebrating Baby Aldridge this coming weekend, as well as taking Courtney and Tyler’s maternity pictures!

This was another BettsMade production, and it was perfect! Her hair and makeup were done by my FAVORITE Jena Bruback and Courtney looked amazing! They said “I DO” at Courtney’s family church in Olive Branch, MS and then headed downtown to party the night away.  Party they did, C&T lit up the dance floor all night long, chugged champagne, and stuffed cupcakes in their faces! It was such a fun wedding to document!  Thank you Courtney and Tyler for allowing me to be a small part of your BIG day. I’m excited to see you soon and even more excited to see you become parents next month!

I have known these two since the good ole college days, and when the phone rang and it was Garner asking me to shoot her wedding I was beyond honored and excited.

Hunter and Garner live in the Big Apple, so we did a lot of emailing and texts and calls before the big day! She enlisted the help of BettsMade to make her vision come to life.  Have I mentioned how important it is to have someone helping you plan the big day? She chose amazing vendors as well which made the whole day run so smoothly.

Having a timeline for the wedding day is also crucial and these two were so great about sticking to the game plan.  Garner was a trooper the whole day as she was just released from the hospital a few weeks prior to the wedding.  It was cold, and I mean it was a really cold day, but everyone was amazing!  The wedding party was a DREAM to work with and that can make a HUGE difference.

The Cadre building is one of my favorites as well, and you can’t go wrong when you have Kelsey on your side! The details of the day were perfect and can we just talk about her gown and her bridesmaid’s dresses?  They have been featured on Borrowed and Blue as well as The Knot!

I could go on and on about how magical the wedding was but I will stop here and let you see for yourself!

Side note: I was also pregnant at this wedding and had no idea, and guess who was the first people who sent me a baby present when we announced?…. Garner and Hunter! They sent us the sweetest Freshly Picked Mocs {My Favorite}

Thank you Garner and Hunter for having us be a part of your best day!

Greystone Wedding

Brandi and Ryan were one of the first couples to book me when I started doing this full time, and that will always mean so very much to me.  I had the best time getting to know these two over their engagement period as well as their wonderful families! These two have been together for quite some time and their love for each other was never hard to see.  The thoughtfulness they have for each other is something we could all use a little more of.

This was the 2nd wedding of ALL TIME at Greystone Stables, which also makes it pretty cool.  There were so many cool details for the Big Day, from the HUGE chalkboard program to the custom cuff links Brandi had made for her groom.  Brandi had the handwriting of Ryan’s late father engraved on the cuff links and when he opened that box their wasn’t a dry eye around.  I have been so lucky to have couples that truly understand the reason for the wedding, and these two were no different! They wanted more than anything to have a beautiful marriage.

We started the day off downtown at Salon 387, and what a cool place that is!  The guys were getting ready at the house where the girls would join them to put on the final touches.  The couple said “I Do” on the lawn under the garland archway while quests sat in antique church pews and witnessed true love! We stole the couple for a few more shots immediately following the ceremony and then it was off to the reception.

I had the pleasure of working with some of my FAVORITE vendors in the industry as well.  I will list all the fabulous people at the bottom of the post!

Thank you Brandi and Ryan for not only being wonderful clients, but thoughtful friends!
